Attorney Overview

Brandy Brown is a senior attorney at Dunlap Law who advises business owners on corporate, business, and trademark matters. Her practice focuses on helping clients build and protect their businesses through thoughtful legal structure, brand protection, and ongoing legal support as companies grow and evolve.

Brandy works with clients across a range of industries, including hospitality, professional services, and cannabis-adjacent businesses. She advises on entity formation, contracts, and governance issues, and regularly represents business owners in federal trademark registrations to help them protect and strengthen their brands. Brandy values long-term client relationships and works closely with business owners to understand their goals, industry dynamics, and risk tolerance so she can deliver practical, tailored legal advice.

A 2020 cum laude graduate of the University of Richmond School of Law, Brandy is admitted to practice in Virginia. She was an active member of Richmond Women’s Law and served as Secretary and later President of the Client Counseling & Negotiation Board. A first-generation lawyer who earned full-tuition scholarships for both undergraduate studies and law school, Brandy brings tenacity, preparation, and attention to detail to her legal practice.

Outside the office, Brandy enjoys going to the movies, spending time with her four cats, and exploring Richmond’s many happy hours.
