In early May, Dunlap Law partnered with the Richmond Animal Care and Control Foundation (RACC) to make a donation to the Foundation, visit the facility and, of course, play with puppies!

As the only Virginia or DC law firm that’s certified as a B-Corp, Dunlap Law strives to be not just a trusted partner but also to use the power of business as a force for good. Out of 50,000 law firms nationwide, only 21 are B-Corp certified.  We believe in valuing people and treating everyone with the utmost kindness and professionalism, while working to be the change we wish to see in the world.   So, we were excited to support a local organization with such a positive cause.

As Richmond’s only open-admission animal shelter, RACC serves over 3,000 animals each year.  Today in the United States, only 1 out of every 10 dogs will find a permanent home. The RACC Foundation works to combat this tragic statistic by supporting Richmond Animal Care and Control’s costs for the essential care of helpless animals across the City of Richmond. The Foundation also coordinates fundraising and volunteer efforts.  RACC hosts open volunteer training every Saturday at 11 am.

During our time at RACC, we played with two young puppies that were currently looking for a home. Both puppies were extremely energetic and friendly!

If you are interested in adopting a pet from RACC visit their facility!
